Rachel Hirschfeld
Attorny Rachel Hirschfeld is the founder and principal of the Law Offices of Rachel Hirschfeld. She is a graduate of Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While in law school she served as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and worked under U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno in the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and the Honorable William G. Bassler, Federal District Court Judge. Ms. Hirschfeld is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Ms. Hirschfeld is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section: Committee on Estate Litigation of the New York State Bar Association, and serves on the Programming and Educational Committee for the advanced program of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, on the Committee for the Problems of the Aging for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and on the Elder Law and Trust Committees on the New York State Bar Association. The New York City Bar Association has invited Ms. Hirschfeld to speak at the Young Lawyers seminar in November 2005, and she is a frequent guest on the radio program WRTN 93.5FM Money Talk financial talk show.
Ms. Hirschfeld served for six years as a Member of the Mayor's Advisory Council of Miami Beach, Florida, while simultaneously running a major real estate management and development company. She also served as the first woman Haute Cuisine Chef in the United States.
Ms. Hirschfeld concentrates in the areas of Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Pet Trusts and Trusts and Estates. She is fluent in French, English, Italian and Hebrew, and has clients worldwide including France, Switzerland and Argentina.
